How I’m Feeling
Today was the first day I really started to notice physical reactions. I’ve had headaches throughout the day, but not nearly as severe as they were on my first Whole30 experience. I must be eating better in general than I used to, or at least less sweets. I’ve had a few cravings for cheese, pizza, and cookies, however they seem more like habitual eating than anything I’m actually craving. I had a chance to take a drink or two tonight as my partner is meeting a friend at a bar and “It seems only fair”, but I think I’ll hold out until our nice dinner this weekend. As the evening continued, I really started to want to grab a meat/cheese snack, but I think that was more because I was getting tired.
I was pretty tired today, but that’s likely because I stayed up too late last night. FitBit gave me a good sleep score, but I think I still need to try and hit the sack earlier than I’m used to. It seems less late night drinking means I have less energy in the evenings.
I tried to go for a 5k walk, but my knee was causing me too much pain. It flared up on me when I was on a trip a few weeks ago, and it’s taking forever to recover. We have a 5k run in a few weeks that I’d like to at least be able to jog through, but I’m having a lot of trouble with my legs. Hoping it turns around for me soon.
